Bar Nuda is Los Angeles’ first and only Mexican-inspired nonalcoholic pop-up bar, redefining the way people gather and celebrate. Founded by Morris Ellis and Pablo Murillo, Bar Nuda was born out of a vision to create a space where culture, craft, and community come together—without the need for alcohol.
Morris, a creative director and branding expert, and Pablo, a storyteller and entrepreneur, joined forces to reimagine what a bar could be. Inspired by their shared roots and personal journeys, including Pablo’s experience of losing his father to alcohol-related illness, they sought to change the narrative for future generations of Latinos and beyond. Their goal was simple yet powerful: to create a welcoming environment where moderation is celebrated and guests can enjoy beautifully crafted beverages without compromise.
At Bar Nuda, every cocktail is thoughtfully designed with mindfully sourced ingredients and crafted to serve a purpose—whether it’s relaxation, focus, or rejuvenation. The team, including mixologist Bryant J. Orozco, draws inspiration from traditional Mexican flavors and techniques while bringing a modern, wellness-focused approach to zero-proof drinking.
Since its launch, Bar Nuda has quickly earned recognition from leading outlets such as LA Times, Forbes, Tastemade, Eater, Infatuation, and On Air With Ryan Seacrest, cementing its place as a pioneer in the growing nonalcoholic movement. Beyond its pop-up bar, Bar Nuda also curates private events, corporate happy hours, and community activations across Southern California, offering a unique and elevated alternative to traditional nightlife and hospitality experiences.
At its core, Bar Nuda is more than a bar—it’s a movement. By blending tradition with innovation, Morris and Pablo are building a future where everyone can celebrate culture, connection, and craft, free of limitations.
